Editörlerden:
Mitolojik çağlardaki Titan`lardan bu yana, devasa varlıklar insanlara hep çekici gelmiştir. Modern çağların mitolojisi sayılabilecek, çizgi roman ve filmler de ise bu adet hala devam ediyor. Voltran, Transformers ve Robotech, bir biri ardına yapılan bu üç devasa robot hikayeleri, dünya çapında büyük bir hayran kitlesine sahip. Bunlar içersinde özellikle Transformers, günümüz dünyasına ve yaşam şeklimize uyum sağlayışıyla, daha fazla ilgi çekmişti. Şimdi, ise Stephen Speilberg ve gençken çizgi filmin hayranı olan Michael Bay`in elinden, bu robot efsanesi beyaz perdeye aktarıldı. Filmin konusuyla yer yer paralel giden Transformers The Game`de bilgisayarlarda yer edinmeye hazır...

Cybertron adlı gezegen teknolojik ve kültürel olarak, dünyamızdan milyonlarca yıl ileridedir. Burada sadece makineler ve robotlar yaşar. Bin yıl önce, buradaki en baskın iki ırk iyiliğin koruyucusu Autobotlar ve sadece yıkım isteyen Decepticonlar Allspark adlı bir cihaz için savaşa tutulurlar. Allspark, tüm mekanik cihazları canlandırabilecek bir güce sahiptir. Transformers`larında yaşamlarının kaynağı yine bu cihazdır.

Decepticon lideri Megatron bu cihazı kullanıp, Cyberton`u ele geçirmek ister, Autobot lideri Optimus Prime ise, en büyük düşmanının bu hayalini engellemeye çalışır. Uzun süren bir savaş sonucunda, Cybertron`da harap olmuş, gezegendeki yaşam kaynaklarının hepsi tükenmiştir. Optimus ise çareyi, Allspark`ı alıp gezegenden kaçmakta bulur. Bu cihaz dünyaya düşer. Dünyamız bu büyüklükte bir savaşa hazır değildir, ancak Megatron için bu kadar ilkel bir gezegenle karşılaşmak büyük bir şanstır. Decepticonlar Allspark`ı bulmak için dünyayı işgale başlar. Autobot ise ne pahasına olsa, ilkel insan yaşam formunu korumak için dünyamıza gelir.

İyiyle kötünün mekanik savaşı

Oyun tam bu noktada bize kontrolü bırakıyor. İki ırkta tıpkı çizgi filmde olduğu gibi, dünya koşullarına daha iyi ayak uydurabilmek için, günümüz araçlarını incelemeye başlarlar. Her biri, araba, uçak, helikopter gibi cihazlara dönüşmeye başlar. Transformers`ın özünü oluşturan değişim de zaten budur. Tranformers The Game’i açtığımız zaman, bizi müthiş bir animasyon karşılıyor. Hem genel olarak konuyu anlatıyor hem de karşılaşacağımız şeyleri görüyoruz. Oyunun animasyon kalitesi çok iyi olmuş. Görevler sıradanda karşımıza çıkan bu animasyonlar, en az filmin kendisi kadar kaliteli. Ana menüden bu iki ırktan birini seçerek oyuna başlıyoruz. İki taraf içinde ilk bölüm, eğitim amaçlı düzenlenmiş. Bir çok oyundaki gibi konuya salt iyilerin gözünden bakmaktansa, iki tarafı da kontrol etmek güzel bir detay olmuş.




Transformers The Game`de bir çok film oyunu gibi, bize devasa bir harita üzerinde istediğimiz gibi dolaşma imkanı sağlıyor. Tek bir tuşla istersek araç halimize, istersek de robot halimize dönüşüyoruz. Eğer Autobotları seçersek, görevimiz insanları korumak, etrafta olay çıkartan Decepticonları engellemek. Decepticonlarda ise tek görev önümüze geleni yıkmak. Özellikle bu ırk bol bol stres atmanızı sağlayabilir. Autobotlar`da insanları ve etrafı korumaya çalışıyoruz ama bir bina kadar boyu olan robotlarla bunu yapmak çok zor. İster istemez iki devasa robot bir biriyle karşılaşınca, çevreye büyük zarar veriyoruz.
Haritada yapmamız gereken bir görev olduğu zaman, o alan yeşil renkle gösteriliyor. Oraya gidince, önce senaryoyu devam ettiren bir video daha sonra ise yapmamız gereken görevler karşımıza çıkıyor. Dövüş sistemi gayet iyi ayarlanmış, savaşmak için hafif ve ağır silahlarımız, koruma kalkanımız ve en eski silah olan yumruklarımız var. Transformers: The Game`deki robot dövüşleri, gerçekten onlarca tonluk iki makinenin dövüş hissini veriyor. Etraftan ağaç ya da telefon direği kopartıp, düşmanımıza saldırabiliyoruz. 120 KM hızla giderken birden devasa robotlara dönüşen araçları gören insanlar, etrafta çığlık çığlığa koşuşturmaya başlıyor. Bir anda etrafımız, polisler ve ambulanslarla dolup taşıyor. O anki kaos ortamı çok iyi yansıtılmış. Düşman iki robot var gücüyle bir birine saldırırken, etraftaki binalar, kağıttan desteler gibi yıkılıyor. Türevi birçok oyundaki, şirin yıkım efektleri yerine, yapımcılar bu iş üzerinde uğraşmış. Gerçekten binayı yıkığınız hissine kapılıyorsunuz.

Kuralları boş verin

Düşmanı görünce, hedef göstergemiz, otomatik olarak ona kilitleniyor. Daha önce filmlerde gördüğümüz bu özelliği yaşamak hoş bir detay olmuş. En güzel özellik ise Tranformers robotlarımız trafik sorununa kesin çözüm olmuş. Trafik sıkıştı mı ya da yanlış yola girdik mi, araç halinden robot haline geçerek, binalara tırmanabiliyoruz, ya da etraftaki araçları sağa sola fırlatıp, trafik stressinden kurtuluyoruz.




Grafikler günümüz şartlarına göre iyi bir halde, seslere ise özen gösterilmiş. Ancak araç kontrollerinin çok zor olması, onlara alışana kadar sizi çileden çıkartacak. Neyse ki, günlük yaşamın stressinden uzaklaşmak için oyuna birçok alternatif yol konulmuş. Ana senaryoyu oynamaktan sıkılırsanız, etraftaki yarışlardan birine katılabiliyorsunuz. Ancak bunları oynanabilir hale getirebilmek için, etrafta bulunan enerji küplerini toplamalısınız. Ana görevlerde başarı şeklimize göre bize ödüller veriliyor. Bu sayede oyunun içindeki gizli, devasa bonus arşivinden faydalanabiliyoruz. Bu arşivde, filmden, notlar, yapım aşamasıyla ilgili videolar ya da karakterlerin tasarımında kullanılan resimler bulunuyor. Transformers The Game klasik olacak bir oyun olmasa da, vaat ettiği eğlenceyi sonuna kadar veriyor. Hem büyük hem de küçük oyunculara hitap eden bir oynanışa sahip. Transformers: The Game is the name of multiple versions of a video game based on the 2007 film Transformers, all of which were released in North America in June 2007. Home console versions are being developed by Traveller's Tales for the PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, and PC. A different PSP version was developed by Savage Entertainment.

Transformers: Autobots and Transformers: Decepticons are the Nintendo DS versions of Transfomers: The Game. Vicarious Visions, who was tasked with bringing Transformers: The Game to the Nintendo DS, chose to adapt the DS version into two separate games.[1] Transformers: Autobots follows the Autobots' perspective while Transformers: Decepticons follows the perspective of the Decepticons.
